Dr. Jenny Leddy, DVM, cVMA

Originally from South Florida, Dr. Leddy began practicing veterinary medicine in 1993, after receiving her DVM from the University of Florida. After graduation, she followed her call to Go West, loaded her pets in the car and drove directly to Oregon! Her veterinary interests include the human-animal bond, geriatric medicine, pain control, hospice care, and supporting quality of life for pets and their people. After many years in the Portland area, including owning her own practice for 10 years, Dr. Leddy decided to make a change and moved to doing house calls. Unrealistic during Covid, she decided to exercise the “variety is the spice of life” option, and provide relief services.

I enjoy having the experience of working in multiple hospitals and meeting such a variety of people. It gives me a more holistic connection to my profession. I relish forming deep connections with various teams while still being able to promote the human-animal bond and enjoying a caring rapport with clients. I like having the flexibility to take care of my family and myself. And of course, being able to provide staff veterinarians with a well-deserved rest!

Dr. Leddy has served on various local medical boards including the PVMA and the PCC Veterinary Technician Advisory Board. She is also MAV certified in acupuncture and is working towards becoming certified in pain management. She shares her home with her husband, two amazing teenagers and a collection of four legged creatures.

In her spare time you can find her reading, enjoying nature or taking care of her oversized houseplant collection.
