Dr. Jenny Mitchell received her BS in Zoology from University of Wisconsin and her DVM degree from Oregon State University. She went on to do a 1 year internship at Dove Lewis in emergency medicine, and then went on to practice for 11 years at another clinic before finding her way to Gabriel Park Vet Clinic. While she loves most of veterinary medicine, her favorite is dentistry and oral health. She loves being able to help pets have more comfortable healthy mouths.
She also has a strong interest in behavior and training, having spent 3 years as a dog trainer prior to vet school. She loves getting to know pets and their people throughout the lives of the pets, from those sweet first puppy and kitten visits to the end of life care. She finds it a great privilege to be a part of your pets life.
Dr. Mitchell has lived in Oregon since 2005 and before that lived in Wisconsin, Utah, Texas and England. She lives with her husband, 5 kids, and a ridiculous dog named Bruno, who can usually be seen in the Drs office at the clinic. She has a sweet old kitty named Wyatt and two wild kittens named “Bond, James Bond” and “Danger”.
